Court Reporting/Realtime
CaseView, LiveNote or Pubnetics for Counsel
"Realtime" is the ability to send the reporter's steno notes instantly to the attorney's (or other user's) computer. Utilizing the services of a Certified Realtime Reporter, this translation is 95% or better in accuracy. The result is English text displayed on the client's computer, not only in litigation, but board meetings, et cetera, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Devine-Hall & Associates, Ltd. is the first court reporting firm locally to provide this service, together with CaseView for Counsel and/or LiveNote. With this user-friendly software (provided to our clients free of charge by DHA) important text can be marked with a single keystroke; there is no need to spend time writing long notes about the proceedings on a legal pad. This marked text appears on the screen and can be printed out for later review. CaseView, LiveNote and Pubnetics also allow the user to place notes in the text, among other features. With technology giving us the Information Super Highway, litigation is becoming more technologically based. Attorneys who are currently at the "leading edge" will not use a court reporter who does not provide this service. It is foreseen that interfacing with realtime will be the norm in every deposition by the year 2000.
